Mosquito Technicians/Applicators – hiring NOW entry level and experienced; part time & full time

Pay Scale: $17/hr - $20/hr based on experience level.

We will hire and cover your licensing costs and train you to be a great technician for the upcoming season.

Mosquito Joe is the fastest growing Mosquito and Tick control service in the country and is looking to hire now both entry level and experienced spraying technicians in Walpole.

We provide mosquito and tick control treatment to residential customers. Our technicians are trained mosquito control experts dedicated to one thing: getting rid of mosquitoes so that our clients can enjoy being outside again.

  • Our technicians travel to customer’s homes to apply barrier spray solutions. We also provide services for special events.
  • If you have no experience we are willing to TRAIN and pay to license you to become a new Joe!!
  • If you have previous mosquito control experience or a Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator license we will welcome you to become a senior Joe!!
  • The Mosquito Joe Technician job is a part-time, seasonal position spraying during the active mosquito spray season, typically from April - October with prep work starting NOW.
  • The number of hours worked per week varies by technician and may be anywhere from 15-40 hours, depending on your availability.
  • Typical spraying/work hours range between 7am - 7pm, Monday - Saturday.
  • College students are encouraged to apply as we can typically accommodate most school schedules.
  • All employees will have to pass if they don’t already have the Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator exam which we will pay for you to take!!
  • You must be at least 18 years old to take the test.
What our Technicians Do:

  • Visually inspect and treat for mosquitoes and ticks
  • Thoroughly explain to the customer our service and procedures
  • Maintain great customer relationships
  • Take personal initiative for correcting any problems
  • Maintain chemical records according to State requirements
  • Complete licensing and training requirements to be a Joe
Job Requirements:

  • Ability to use a basic Tablet and App
  • Great customer service and a love of interacting with customers
  • Inspecting and treating mosquito breeding and resting sites.
  • Comfortable driving to customer locations
  • Capable of carrying a 60 lb. backpack blower while walking a customer property
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record. We perform drug test, driving and background checks on all candidates.
